Kirk verses Spiderman in 3D

According to TrekMovie, Sony has positioned the next Spider-man reboot movie to the 4 days after the announced date of Star Trek XII (June 29th, 2012) and has also announced that they are going to do the film in 3D. TrekMovie speculates that Paramount may respond by having Star Trek in 3D as well.
We're all sorry for the other guy when he loses his job to a machine. But when it comes to your job -- that's different. And it always will be different.
