Holomatrix Initiated

Holodeck3 has been offline for quite some time now, the server I was running it on was starting to feel the sign of age, as was the CMS system I was previously using to run the site.

I had long meant to re-do the site using a Drupal Core, however the daunting task of porting the massive amounts of content on the existing site put me off, and when the owners of the server took the site offline, I didn't bother to put up a blank shell. The blame lies with me, perhaps my interest in Star Trek was waning, mostly due to the lack of new Star Trek content after Enterprise was canceled (long before it should have been I assure you), but also my life was moving on. I took a new job in California, uprooted my life from Texas, and started moving on to new things, and new Science Fiction Franchises.

However Star Trek will always be at the core of who I am, and what I've done, therefore, and with Star Trek information starting to come out once again, I have decided to pick the torch back up, and Relaunch Holodeck 3.

In the coming weeks I hope to get most of the original content back online, as well as put up a host of new Star Trek content about the new Star Trek Movie coming out in May 2009, as well as the fantastic new news that Star Trek Online is not as dead as many of us thought it was.

I will not however bother restoring the old usernames and passwords from the old site, I'm sure many of my old users have moved on, and while it would have been worth porting over had I done it immediately, going through the tremendous coding of porting old logins from the old site would be mostly useless, as many of the old email addresses of HD3 users are probably long dead. However Registration is now open, you may register on HD3 with a new login and participate in the Forums!

I also will be working on a more trekker Template for the site's relaunch, I apologize for this simple plasma one that we are using now. I look forward to bringing Holodeck3 and the SubspaceLink Network back to the fantastic Star Trek community it once was.

Star Trek, I've returned home, May you Live Long and Prosper!
